  1. God damn ryan. You’re the only podcaster I’ve ever known who puts out more than 1hr of content per episode.

I love it. I need like 3 or 4 different sittings to get through it all.

  2. First off, the 1-shot dragon bug had nothing to do with crouching. It required you to shoot an arrow and before the arrow landed on the target you would switch your weapon to a battlespike, then the arrow that lands would do ~5 billion damage or so and 1 shot anything (or anyone) in the game. A couple people found this bug and apparently used it for a couple months farming millions and millions of gold before more people found out. These guys weren’t anyone I knew nor do I remember their names though. I found out about the bug and got like 2-3 hours of farming out of it before it got fixed. But he was right in that it was like 1year+ after game launch that this bug was fixed.

@ Trade ganking, I’m really not a fan. I know only 2 people who ever got trade ganked by GPS, and both of them were new players. One of them is actually a close friend of Ryan’s (and mine), and I don’t think Ryan remembers but he got trade ganked by these guys. All the vets I know never got trade ganked. Vets trade with vets. So, I dislike the fact that these guys made a lot of new players quit who never got a fair chance to learn the game and learn to love it and become a vet themselves.

@ goblin shaman, ya he had a nice bank, but to be honest, that was about average to some vets I know, and probably about 50% (or less) of my own personal bank even. And I know guys who were much richer than me in-game.

  3. Hmm, not sure if my last post sounded over critical, but it wasn’t meant too.

Btw Ryan, awesome work… you’re pumping out casts like no tomorrow. Keep it up!

  4. Your last cast was great, every time i listen to your interviews it energizes me to play some more Darkfall. This guy was a bit of a tool. I’m all for scamming people with in the game mechanics but once you jump on someones vent and pretend to be someone you’re not is very douchie. I also felt that some of his stories were made up on the spot, which I have no proof of but if you admit to lying you are always a liar. I don’t think that GPS had as big of an impact as he thought but I’m glad that he came on the show and am amazed he has a girlfriend. @Ryan It would be nice to get someone on the cast who is willing to through down some tips. What spells are a must have for someone who wants to do magic but not run 1000 macros. Whats the best armor for Destroyer, mage, hybrid. I was going to do it on my show but I think you have a good series going here. Stop picking on Mortal jackass.

  5. Totally agree with Coolit. I listened to it and just felt bad for the guy Ryan interviewed.

I stopped listening actually. When he talked about lying about having kids etc, so they would relate to him before a scam.

What people like him dont understand is that even if its a game, they are really hurting other peoples feelings when they pretend to be someones friend for weeks and scam them later. But as its a game and they can do it from a safe distance, without any repercussions weak people do thing they would never have dared to do in real life.

But then a few % of the population are psychopaths that dont have empathy. Perhaps he is one of them. If you dont feel empathy, then you probably can do stuff like that.

Looking forward to a cast with the real pvp vets you have lined up Ryan =)

  6. I have spent too many years in Eve to have the same opinion. People get on voice comms and sell themselves as one thing and then spend a month or two in corps to get proper roles to bail with a bunch of stuff. Extremely common for those that live in wormhole space where proper security is harder to maintain.

At least in games like Eve and Darkfall you can extract your justice for your nerd rage in the game.

The part of the cast that irritated me more was actually how he mentions quitting due to a patch. Sounds like that patch improved the war dec system and the reality is that he and his clan chose to not adapt and adjust how they pull off scams.

    Keep these coming man!!!

  7. Hey guys, been out of gaming for the past week or so… just been busy as hell – plus spent a few days abroad.

Thanks for listening, and providing feedback!

@Apoc: your post was completely cool. Thanks for the details! I know everybody appreciates having holes filled in.

@Coolit: Should be talking to both Lord Battle Smurf and Spades soon. I’ll ask this specific question.

  8. @Ryan I have been taking a break from gaming as well. I have been watching a lot of netflix lately. At the end of this month, where I need to go into the office for a week. I will be caching up on your shows on my way to and from work.
